In your ingredients list, what does ‘’natural flavor’’ means?
We add a natural flavor to our Nature's HUG™ formulas using a yeast extract to enhance their palatability. This ingredient is entirely natural and has a low fat content, high fiber content, and high protein content.
Does Nature’s HUG™ contains artificial flavors or preservatives like Ethoxyquin?
Our Nature's HUG™ recipes do not contain any artificial flavors, fillers, or preservatives such as Ethoxyquin. We only use entirely natural ingredients in our products.
How do I transition my pet to a Nature’s HUG™ diet?
To transition your pet to Nature's HUG™ pet food, it is essential to do so gradually. Begin by feeding your pet a mixture of 80% of their old food and 20% of Nature's HUG™ food. Over the next 7 to 10 days, gradually increase the proportion of Nature's HUG™ food until it constitutes 100% of your pet's diet. This approach will help your pet's digestive system adjust to the new food and minimize any potential gastrointestinal upset.

Nature’s HUG™’s recipes have been formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by AAFCO. What exactly is AAFCO?
The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) is a voluntary membership organization that has been regulating the sale and distribution of animal feeds and animal drug remedies since 1909. They are responsible for providing nutritional adequacy statements on pet food labels, monitoring feed for livestock, defining animal feed ingredients, providing guidelines for feed testing and nutrient profiles, and other tasks related to animal feeds.
AAFCO's presence is vital because it prevents the pet food industry from being bogged down with 50 different sets of state regulations that conflict with federal regulations.
Nature's HUG™ exceeds AAFCO's pet food regulations, which means that our recipes are nutritionally complete and balanced for the specific life stages of dogs and cats.
What is the Nature’s HUG™ bag shelf life?
All our Nature’s HUG™ products have a shelf life of 18 months. You can find the expiry date (BB / Best before date) printed on the bags.
How about storage of my Nature’s HUG™ bag?
For optimal preservation conditions, please always store and keep your Nature’s HUG™ bag sealed, in a shaded, cool and dry place.
Are the Nature’s HUG™ kibbles still good past the expiry date?
We guarantee the freshness of our Nature's HUG™ products until the expiration date printed on the bags. After this date, we cannot confirm whether the product can be consumed safely by your pet. Over time, the likelihood of some products becoming rancid increases, and the potency of vitamins and minerals may decrease, resulting in reduced palatability and performance of the food.
Therefore, we do not recommend serving our Nature's HUG™ pet food beyond the expiration date, as it may pose a risk to your pet's health and well-being.
Are your Nature’s HUG™ bags resealable?
Absolutely, all of our Nature's HUG™ bags are equipped with a resealable feature that helps to preserve the freshness of the kibbles for the entirety of the product's shelf life. Our packaging is crafted with high-quality materials, and it has been specifically designed to maintain the freshness of the food.
You can leave the food in its original bag without any concerns, as the packaging is well-suited to the task of preserving the kibble's freshness. However, if you would like to transfer the food to another sealed container, you are free to do so. It is not necessary to make an additional purchase, as the original bag is perfectly adequate.
